Then one foggy Christmas Eve...
Dec. 24th, 2016 02:34 pmThere was a time I didn't leave the house without my camera. I have become lazy over the years, it would seem, not to fussed with lugging a big camera around. Oh, how I sometimes rue that. This morning, I woke to bright blue sky. By the time I left my house, the fog was rolling in, though I was already five-six blocks away before I could see it, as I am up on the sunniest part of town.
Today I strolled along the riverwalk to go pick up a ridiculously expensive head of cauliflower - an item I missed on my regular shopping trip ($4.25 for a head of cauliflower???). It's a five mile round-trip, and a walk I quite enjoy. None of these images capture how beautiful it actually was out there. My cell phone doesn't take the best photos. Alas.
I wish I'd been able to get a decent shot of the bridge as the fog began to lift. Truthfully, that was my choice. Earlier this week, I made the bad call to walk a fair distance in three inch boots and yesterday I didn't change into sneakers to walk the shelter dogs, so my feet were kind of beat up already. I chose to head back up the hill toward home rather than add another mile on my trek for that perfect bridge shot. Mayb tomorrow will also be foggy and this time I will go out prepared.
Anyway. I know folks are even scarcer on holidays, but should you happen across this - have a great holiday, and if you don't celebrate anything in particular, I still wish you well.
