Pic of the day

I found this one, actually, in my old 35mm photo prints. I scanned it in, a project I always intended on doing during my bout of unemployment. Haha. Anyway, it has to have been taken 15+ years ago, maybe closer to 20, if I were to guess. It's on the river where my childhood home sat, and I hadn't been there for some time even before I moved west.

Would seem like I've always had a thing for sunsets, eh? I did airbrush out some dust specs, but otherwise this remains untouched.



Ah, home.

There is freedom within, there is freedom without

I believe the days of using my old broken lens are over. Tonight, I was so excited because there was a huge ship in the bay just as the sun was going down. Perfect! Except no, because my faulty lens froze the camera up - couldn't turn it off, couldn't take a picture, and by the time I sorted it, the ship had passed. Boo hiss! It was really close to shore, too! Nice and big. Would have been lovely.

It had started raining while I was out there, so as I turned to go back in the house I saw a large rainbow opposite to the sunset. It was so pretty! My camera would not take one single picture of it.
