I can't take it anymore

How exactly does one look up through one's eyelashes? Seriously. There must be a length requirement of said lashes, because no matter how I've looked, I cannot look through my lashes. I can see them when I blink, but it's mostly just a very faint blur.

I want photographic evidence of how this phenomenon is accomplished.

Basically, I'm bloody tired of seeing the looking-up-through-his/her-eyelashes thing in fanfic. Can we please come up with a new description for coy. Or, why not just use coy?
