I can't get my body to get used to the time change. This is supposed to be the good one, right? Well, I keep waking up at 4:30 or 5:30 AM. That's bad enough, but when that happens I can usually drift back to sleep until it's my actual waking time.

However, the kids upstairs suffer the same disruption in their sleep. Being normal, active kids, they don't go back to sleep. No. Instead they tromp to the family room, which happens to be above my bedroom, where they proceed to move around. It sounds like they're playing freaking tackle football, when they're probably just watching TV and walking around. Whatever they're doing, they're making it impossible for me to get that extra hour or two of sleep that I need.

Argh.

Am comptemplating asking the parents if they could remind their kids that when it's still dark out, that means people are sleeping, or at least trying to.

I wish I could have caffeine.

*sigh*

I'm still teeter-tottering about a trip to MN for the holidays. Part of me really doesn't want to go, but then I think of how depressing the alternative could be. I'm not one to infringe on friends, even when invited, because I always feel like a hindrance. I don't even know if I'd get an invite anyway, and that's even more depressing.

So, to face torturous travel and family mayhem, or sit home alone?

*sigh*

I could use some uppers lately, boy. Sorry, folks. I should mope elsewhere.

The hygienist really did a number on my little bone bumpies when she took X rays last night. My bone bumpies hurt, dang it. It took all day for me to remember what might have caused the discomfort, and when I it came by way of a flashback: of giant objects being jammed in my mouth, the sound of the tools being sharpened (seriously, yo, sharpen before you've got the patient there - it's disconcerting) and panicked thoughts about whether or not a person could eventually drown if for some reason the water thingie was left on indefinitely...and they were strapped down by a sadistic dentist.
