Ugh

Ugh was today's secret word, by the way. I was going to bake cookies tonight, but I could only find half the ingredients I needed, so that's going to have to wait until tomorrow. Ugh.

I still miss spinach. The baby greens salad is good and all, but I just like spinach more. Ugh.

I should go do something.

I mean, I know that's seriously compelling material, but who in their right mind would read that and go, "Yes, I think I need to learn more about this penis hardening during all the process!" and then clickity-click on the link?

Crazy J

She's taken up the laundry room again, that Crazy J from #705. It's bad enough that she uses half the machines, but she also uses half the room. She's sprawled on the couch, a huge pile o' change is spread over one of the counters, she's got one of the building's carts sitting in the middle of the room and her shit is all over machines she's not even using.

I might be cranky this morning (loud TV neighbor is now not only keeping me up at night, but waking me in the morning), but that's just super annoying.

Calming myself by listening to

because I love this song as much now as the very first time I heard it.

And it calms me.

But what I really want to know is...

Are they ever going to go get John's truck? That thing was totally tricked out and now they're weapons and gear are probably smooshed...

And we're baking...

Whew, I don't think I've baked since last year when I brought a pumpkin cheesecake to the unworthies at work. I don't know how I did it then, because I have no mixing bowls. I used to have bowls, I swear I did. Instead of them, though, I mixed up the batter in a big stew pot. I mixed the dry ingredients in a sauce pan.

I really need bowls.

The first batch isn't out of the oven yet, but the batter looks promising. I managed to find organic wheat flour, organic granulated and confectioner's sugar, organic lemon extract and organic eggs. I did find organic vanilla, but I already had vanilla and holy shit that stuff's expensive and organic chocolate - ditto. Mucho dinero. Anyway, I'm hoping that replacing the ingredients with some that are a tad better won't make this a disaster. I don't expect much with this first try.

ETA: Oh, bugger, I forgot to grease the second pan!
