(no subject)

Weird but unmemorable dreams last night, probably due to Heart of Darkness and/or bizarre things on TV. Neighbor once again blaring TV late at night and into the AM hours. I didn't hear my alarm the first million times it went off. 42. I desperately need new fall attire, if for no other reason than the upcoming conference. I'm going to have to drag my sorry butt out for shopping soon. Soylent Green is people.

Noticed a funny (funny hmmmm, not funny ha-ha) thing last night in regards to Sci Fi. Last week, they aired promos for SG-1 ad nauseum, at least every other commercial break. Last night? I think I saw it once. Maybe twice. And I watched the whole block of Dark Angel (maybe I flipped channels? and yes, I know I'm a TV junkie).

Strange how they shoved promos about Vala at us, but what looks like it could be a team episode gets...not much at all.

ETA: It's Tuesday, the ads are back in full force. Must be more of a day of the week thing than anything.

UPS, II

The story has a happy ending. After leaving an annoyed email at being unable to reroute or reschedule delivery of my very important package (No, really, it is. It's a new bag and my old one is coming apart at the bottom seams.), I did not get the response they promised to give within 24 hours. I was resigned to having to go pick up the bag at whatever will call station UPS has, and you can bet your sweet bippy it wouldn't be at the UPS store just down the street.

However, I got home tonight and saw a package in the office. S. had gone home, but he frequently signs for me. Yay! Then I actually got into my apartment and had two lengthy voice messages from UPS, explaining the situation.

I'm grateful to have the package, but still kind of resent that I only had one shot at signing (technically - the driver was supposed to have removed the package from his truck and didn't).

Whee.
