Anyway, he just called and told me he had an extra ticket for the baseball game tonight. Asked if I wanted to go or if the very thought of watching a baseball game was repugnant.
I said it wasn't my thing (I actually enjoy going to the stadium for a game of any kind, but the thought of going with him??), and he instantly got defensive.
Why do people do that? They give you an out and when you take it they act like you've committed some crime and/or they're offended that you dared to say no. And this wasn't even a date kind of thing. Yeesh.
