My eldest nephew got a promotion in the Army today, so I drove up to witness the ceremony. It was very fast and to the point. Nephew is career military ... until such time as he can retire. So maybe not really career so much as determined to get to the "I have benefits other than hit or miss VA medical" stage of benefits. Hah.

I'm grateful to have again been able to attend for the family. My brother and sister in law, of course, flew up too.

I'm flat exhausted now, though. He offered me to stay over, but I just couldn't bring W. I didn't want to add drama to their day, which was apparently stressful - they provided refreshments for after and the place called 45 minutes before they were to pick up to report they couldn't fulfill the order. Forty five minutes! Talk about bad business. My poor niece in law was a wreck over it.
