I think I'm still needing to play catch up from yesterday. Yawn! This month in general seemed long for a short month. My body is also totally out of whack from the Anatolian shepherd pups at the shelter - the bigger they got, the harder it was to walk them. Also? I brought my jacket home to wash and, y'all, I can still smell faint traces of poopy puppy on it. Ew. I already miss them, though. What a bright spot in sometimes gloomy days puppies are.

My brother posted a photo he got from my cousin, of our aunt. I have no memory of my aunt, she died of cancer when I was four (same year my grandpa on same side did), but I just have to say it's extremely uncanny how much one of my sisters resembles this aunt. Like, I had to double-take. Ain't genetics interesting?

I remember a billion years ago, living in Dinkytown in Mpls, on a snow emergency street which got plowed first and often - a snowstorm that started as an ice storm. I'd had to park on the street. Could NOT get into my car and the plows were bearing down on me. Whoo boy. Finally got in the passenger door after using every deicer known to man, a hairdryer and sheer muscle. That door was never the same.

So, yep. Ice isn't nice.
