Strange Overtones

Slightly out of fashion.
Got an email yesterday from UPS claiming they tried to deliver something but I wasn't home to sign and they couldn't find a secure place for the package. UPS NEVER announces themselves beyond a quick knock and then the drivers dash away as if terrified of human contact should someone immediately answer the door. Had I heard the door, that is to say, chances are the guy would have been halfway down the street already anyway. And there WAS a package, just not the one they said needed a signature. ot sure why they'd leave one unsecure and not the other.
Tonight, a knock on my door. That same package, being left sans need for a signature or secure place of deposit. Uhm. What? Why the change? *scratches head*
Today at work I got a referral/request from another office asking me to evaluate a potential consumer for our benefits. The problem was that the consumer passed away ... in January.
One of the cat volunteers got chomped by a very fearful cat. The silly thing is his kennel is clearly marked "WEAR GLOVES". The gloves weren't in the room, so she wrapped a flimsy towel around her hand and arm. Anyone who knows cats will understand this was not adequate... I'm afraid I don't feel much sympathy for her.
I just realized confirmation of my age: I enjoy Grape Nuts. Without dumping a ton of sugar on it.
The weather has been all over the place. One moment the sun shines and literally the next it's a torrential downpour.
