I really enjoy the mountain bluets - very interesting looking, from start to finish.
Hmm, confession: I found a recipe and then used it and then forgot where it was. I eyeballed these for a small batch. The neighbor dog seemed to enjoy them long enough to stop barking at me while he crunched through them. Haha.
1 cup whole wheat flour or oats ground into flour 3/4 cup chicken stock/broth (you could probably use beef, too) 2-3 TB olive oil
I basically tossed it all into the food processor and let it do its thing. I am sure you could use stand or hand mixer, or a spoon and a bowl. Roll out, cut and bake at 350 for 20 minutes or so, flipping them over halfway through the bake. Eyeball that, too - depends on how crunchy you want them.
I've see recipes for peanut butter treats, or adding carrots, pumpkin or sweet potato. They all seem pretty simple, and none of those scary ingredients you see on the cheap treats ingredients list or the scary price on the quality ones...
