superbadgirlI think I was too tired to watch carefully. Seriously, I really didn't get much sleep while on holiday and haven't had a chance to recoup much-needed hours. I find myself staring at walls when I'm at home, where I don't have work to focus on. There's a strange ashy blob right there from when I moved my TV months ago. A year?
You know, I get Dean's frustration. But at the same time, he is not really being very understanding of Sam's situation. Sam would not be as he is if he could help it. He clearly can't. And while he's odd and does and says deplorable things - he's WITHOUT HIS SOUL. There's a reason he's being like that, and it's not to be annoying or bothersome to Dean. I love Dean; I think he's still unable to see Sam's situation through any lens but his own, which has always been slanted. Absolutely fair. But if Dean's primary emotion seems to be either anger or annoyance at Sam and Dean is the "everyman", it's no wonder Sam hasn't been able to catch a fandom break in years.
/rant over/ Lordy, why am I such a broken record?
I just want Dean to show that he wants to get Sam's soul back because he cares about Sam, not because he's tired of the rather sociopathic stranger he's riding around with, who may or may not do and say deplorable things at any given moment. The ending of this episode is getting warmer. C'mon, Show. Do it already.
And Sam, he's going to be in a world of hurt when he does get his soul back. He's going to be more broken than Dean when he got back from Hell, I think. Strikingly similar situation, except for the fact Sam's awful things happened above ground. Dean's duress was thirty years of torture; Sam's was lack of soul. Neither 100% to blame, both 100% likely to disregard that fact.
They shouldn't have given Crowley his bones.
Urgh, Peeping Tom dog? Poor beautiful dog, made to perv. But, hey, at least Show wasn't as terrible as usual about the woman-in-barely-there-nighty thing it's infamous for.
