The Struggle is Real
Sep. 19th, 2018 06:52 pmCame home, wave of dog smell. Yes, I have bathed him. I am very scent sensitive, I'm afraid, so while the behaviors are manageable the odor of dog is less so. It's such a shitty thing; I can't give up because I can't stand the way he smells, but I can't stand the way he smells.
Annnnd, he just went after Roy. I don't think maliciously or to kill or anything, but if I'm not around to stop him... what's to stop him? I just had a flash of Pickle making that high pitched chirp she does and Walter going for her like one of the squeaky toys he loves to rip apart. :(
Brainstorming options on what to do. Keep him confined while I am out? Possible. I really noticed an uptick of smell when I moved the baby gate out so he had more room and to help the cats get used to him. I put it back, because that doorway is too wide and he was battering at it (he also barked a lot yesterday, according to neighbor - the German Shepherd behind my house barks ALLLLLLL day and Walter is very dog reactive).
Dog dilemmas rule my life right now, sorry.
