I'm starvin', Marvin
Mar. 5th, 2014 08:06 pmWhat a day. Bought cone of shame yesterday at pet store, for Johnny is suffering from a red eye that won't go away despite putting drops in because she rubs her eye constantly. Forgot cone at work. Drove to work this morning, roped a coworker into coming home with me to cone Johnny up, success! For thirty seconds, because cone turned out to be way too big.
Brought coworker and cat to work, where I put in eight hours without a break and then headed to vet, who, yep, confirmed that if Johnny would stop rubbing her eye, her eye would be fine. Obtained new cone, new ointment and a steroid shot to try to systemically end the itch.
Got home, Johnny instantly began rubbing her stupid eye (cone only has to be on when I'm not supervising her). You'd think she had a brain the size of a golf ball or something.
Anyway, now I'm tired and hungry and have no desire to cook or go out. *le sigh*
Sorry for the tl;dr.
Poor thing:

And just so you know, I have been putting drops in her eyes since Monday, she just rubbed all of them out, apparently. I feel like such a bad parent.
