Kitties Under Siege and Reading Without Coffee

I really want to know why USA, TBS, TNT and Spike air the movie Under Siege so often. I swear to god it's shown every damned weekend. I just don't get it. For the record, I don't get why it's so difficult to avoid the variations of Law & Order in syndie either. Seriously. It's on all the time. Flip, flip, L&O:CI, flip, L&O, flip, flip, L&O:SVU. Enough already. Jeez.

If anyone can enlighten me on both of those things, I'd appreciate it.


I went to the grocery store yesterday and forgot to restock on decaf. I like a cup on Sunday mornings. *sigh* This means at some point today I will have to put on pants and go back to the store. I really wish people everywhere would just wear jammies wherever they go, so I could too.

I was just reading fic, since my muse is caput (I fear this is permanent). I was halfway through a story when the site went down. Damnit, I hate that. It sucks. I suppose I could clean or read a book or something.

Speaking of books. The Upstairs People were away all last week. They asked me to care for their cats and fish, etc, which I did. I'm not a cat person, but Melba and Gertie are pretty dang cute. Melba especially, I think. Yesterday TUP gave me a $25 gift cert from a local bookstore for the service. It wasn't necessary at all but I'll definitely use it. Combine it with a gift card I got for my birthday, I have $50 worth of books to buy. I just don't know what to purchase. I could go with classics I've already read and love, or...any suggestions?

A word to the wise

Don't go to Trader Joe's on a Sunday afternoon. Yeesh. It was a madhouse...and I forgot the coffee again. I think I got goosed no fewer than three times, though. That's how fucking madhousey it was. I prefer not to get goosed at all, but at least these were accidental incidents. I think.
