The birth mother went into labor early, had the baby (a boy) yesterday, and still wants to give him up for adoption. My sister and her husband are flying down to Texas tomorrow to make it all official, and when they go back to Minnesota, they'll have the baby.

I know it's not absolute yet, but this is for real! I'm an auntie again, for the 17th time. They're all big and important, but this one just seems that little bit more.

WOO!

I hadn't decided if I wanted to sneak home and surprise my younger sister at her upcoming baby shower, but now I think I really should. I just hope she won't think it's really because of new nephew (Tentatively named Austin, but I hope that changes when they see the baby. Austin = meh.). It's not, being able to see new baby is just a bonus.
