A plea for forgiveness

Dear Caffeine,

I love you and I was wrong. Please take me back.

Sincerely,

Me

I have quit caffeine before, the best I've done is 2.5 years -- but there were extenuating medical circumstances.

As soon as those circumstances evaporate, so does the living without coffee.

It's so addictive and yet it's so easy to obtain. And inexpensive too...

No! You weren't wrong. We love you on the caffeine free side. Stay with us!!

Caffeine is your friend. Embrace the caffeine!

Dear Me,

You're going to have to do better than that, you ungrateful beast. I have so many others, it's not like I need you, you know.

Sniff,

Caffeine

Does anything in the world substitute for caffeine? I'm trying to think. I moderate my caffeine intake pretty carefully, but I don't think I'd try to eliminate it completely. It's got antioxidants, you know. ;)

Oh, yeah, I'm just waiting for them to find anti-oxidants in cigarettes. :-D

They keep going back and forth on whether the caffeine in tea is better than the one in coffee or not, but I think mostly it depends what you're at risk for. I get deeply confused.
