Yes, I was thinking about describing eye colour (and who the hell does describe it??? I get asked by my mum "Oh, how tall was he? What colour is his eyes?" and I have to go bzuh, I have no idea, didn't take any notice.)

I think most people might notice light or dark, unless they're particularly striking. But I swear. Dean and Sam have had emerald, jade, hazel, blue-green, green-blue, grass, etc. eyes and it's just so amusing that people need to use it so often. If someone's crying, I might mention how it makes the eyes seem to change color, but yikes. ;)

I can't wait to see the thesaurus abuse in action.

Moss green is one I've seen in NCIS. Cerulean used to drive me barmy in Stargate fic (also, seriously, fandom, can we at least decide on the colour of their hair? Daniel in the series had *brown* hair. Not blonde. Also seen the same issue with Dean. There are different types of brown hair. His, at a stretch, I'd describe as dirty blonde, but never blonde by itself.)

Heee. The hardest part will be writing *them* with a thesaurus issue. Might have to start with ordinary dialogue and translate it afterwards.

Ooh, yes. Moss green could totally be used. ;)

It might be best to write regular dialogue and squish in the fancy words. And, you know if it starts with Sam it could take them a while to figure it out, depending on which season you set the story in.
