Veiny Arms

I'm just not convinced that protruding veins on a guy's forearms and biceps are particularly sexy. I find myself kind of revolted by them, actually, and it makes me think that the guy in question doesn't have enough fat on his body.

I think it is totally ugly, too. It grosses me out. Guy's arms should be muscled, but not overly-muscled. And the veins are right out.

Whew, so it's not just me! I'm all for muscle. Just cover up the veins.

I have to admit, the first time I saw it was on the arms of a bassist, and I thought it was so sexy. Actually, I still do sometimes on musicians, when it comes from straining the forearm muscles to play an instrument.

But then guys started working out in ways specifically designed to develop those veins, and somehow... it just looks like something trying to crawl out of their skin, and I watch in horror thinking it's going to explode. Gross beyond belief.

But on musicians, sometimes it still works for me.

Yeah, I suppose there should be some qualifications. Musicians with veiny arms might be legit, but if a dude's veins look like they're about to burst because he's leaning to pick up a paper clip, that's gross. ;)

Yeah, there's a different look in some cases, to me. But I definitely agree, guys who are muscly, and then have these veins on top of that... they just look like shrimp that need to be deveined. It's like raw meat.
