This one's pretty basic. I am grateful for chocolate dipped granola bars, which are delicious and I know are essentially just candy.

When I lived with my sister for a time before striking out for the far west, I would on Saturdays walk to the gas station and convenience store down the way and get an extra large Sunbelt chocolate dipped granola bar, a bottle of soda and then I'd snuggle down for an afternoon of fanfic reading. Ah, those were the days! I printed ream after ream of stories, y'all, and that way they were big enough to prop on my treadmill to read as I walked or jogged. Many miles put on reading Stargate SG-1 stories. I had a literal trunk full of my favorites.

Oh, that does sound fun. I met my first online friends through SG-1 fandom.

I will always remember those days with fondness. Online reading is fine, but nothing beats print for me. The tactile feel, the smell of a book or paper. Can't get that on a screen.

Those were the days indeed. I have my own stash of printed fic, along with several fanzines. I didn't do anything so healthy as to read while on the treadmill though!
