Seventeenth Week

I'm having a "but there's a cat" moment where I need to be up and doing some things but I just cannot, because there's a cat on my lap and she is quite comfortable. It's as good an excuse as any. My neighbor started fostering a dog earlier this month, ended up adopting him. Large dog. Large dog who poops on her deck in back yard, which is directly out of my guest bedroom window. She does not pick it up or dispose of it.

It's disgusting, y'all.

It's also what I'd be looking at if I went out back to pull weeds. Weeds that are on her property, not mine...

Ah, spring, I should love it but there are things I hate about it too.

Osprey Nest
^Osprey in nest, not too far from office.

Mushroom Ladder

Slough and Blue Sky

I just went to go stir my week's meals, which I have in a crock pot, and realized I didn't turn the crock pot on. *le sigh*

Love the photos, as usual. :D

I wonder what the foster agency would say if they knew about it? Most that I know make the fostering people sign an agreement to keep to a certain standard, and she's not doing it.

Food for thought.

I just learned this week that dung beetles will dispose of dog poop, and that they thrive in many parts of the country. ( https://mobile.twitter.com/UrsulaV/status/1253754683832692736 ) Might it be worth trying to start a colony?
