I've finally figured out that when I get a strange taste of chalk in my mouth and also can smell it, that means migraine's coming. I don't know why I never connected the events before.

Is there any way to stop a migraine before it hits?

That sounds like it would be helpful. Will it? Can you take meds that will head a migraine off at the pass?

Wow. Me, I go blind in one quadrant (usually left eye in the lower vision field), then get sparkly aura effects before the pain hits.

If it's an allergy migraine, the blindness happens and sometimes the aura affect overlaps that or doesn't even occur.

I hate migraines!

I get the sparkly aura effects and then the pain which sits on the right side of my head.

If I can get to the Advil Migraine in time, I can bring it down to a bearable headache. If I drink a lot of water, I can cut it short.

But that only happened once.
