As someone who became an amputee in February, and only spent seven months in a wheelchair before finally receiving a prosthetic leg, I can tell you from personal experience that you nailed the helplessness, frustration, anger and general angst dead-on. Are you by chance either disabled or a therapist for disabled patients? I ask because you seem very knowledgeable about the topic. This makes me feel much better after the cop-out they gave us on Daniel's leg amputation in "Continuum." And, as I have said before, you write well. I am enjoying this story.
