One of the things I loved about this ep from the first time around was that the writers actually bothered to let the characters scratch their heads and go "Huh?" with regard to the time frame these folks had to've been taken. I don't even CARE that they didn't solve that particular mystery. Just knowing that they knew it was there was good enough for me.

I couldn't figure out how the writing was Middle English, but they spoke plain ol' current English. I suppose that plaque was just artifact, but it would have been awesome for them to actually make the actors try to speak Middle English. ;) I had a prof in college who loved to read The Canterbury Tales out loud, and I have to admit he was pretty good at it. I didn't understand a word he said, though, so he might have been screwing it up royally. Heh.
