I feel you on the color thing. They're in the process of refreshing the library meeting room, and I had no input into color. The walls are now Landlord White, which isn't awful because it dramatically improved the lighting situation. They just redid the floors with a nice looking wood laminate. Shades of near black brown to lighter tones of grey, with a bit of a copper tone mixed in. Looks nice, but I've got to get used to it, and hopefully get grants to replace the older bits of furniture.

Oof, the privacy issues and the health issues, with a bit of driving you up the wall with construction noise and debris. Would be so much faster to temporarily relocate, but admin probably doesn't want to pay for that convenience. Much better to make things difficult for your own staff and the construction crew as well.
