Well, this is embarrassing
Aug. 27th, 2019 11:40 amI finally figured out what has been causing my back pain.
Me. Me, sleeping on my back.
I should have made the connection way sooner, but I got sucked into this loop. Back hurts, only position it doesn't feel bad in is flat on my back, so I lie flat on my back only to have excruciating pain if I deviate from that position to my side. Go to bed reasonably pain-free, wake up in the middle of the night when I roll onto side and it feels like one of my cats is literally gnawing on my back (if any of them would actually do this, I'd put money on Pickle)...flip back onto back, continue to exacerbate the problem.
*sigh*
I tried to get in with a chiropractor, because obviously I've got some alignment issues going on. First appointment at the most convenient one not till second week of September. Can't wait that long. All others aren't open on Tuesdays. What. Urgh.
Random: a bakery I want to try also has tourist town hours/days of service. She's closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays instead of Sat/Sun.
So I made edible cookie dough with almond flour instead. Because I'm on vacation and I deserve it! It is so good, y'all. If you like cookie dough but have always been faintly turned off by the heavy flour taste of regular stuff, switch to almond flour. More fat, yes, but also more protein, you don't have to bake the flour to kill any bugs AND it's not floury tasting. Coconut would work, too, but I don't personally care for the sandy texture of it.
