Jaffa, Kree!

Status quo in SBGland, except that I've got Unskinny Bop in my head thanks to Sang Min. *shakes fist at that strangely lovable human trafficker!* I hope CBS execs learned the lesson that live TV does not pair well with a choose-your-own-adventure novel. There were entertaining moments last night, but overall the plot had to be pretty vague in order for any of three people to be the bad guy. Meh.

I spent all day yesterday baking. I made jaffa cakes, which are basically a sponge cake cookie with orange and dark chocolate.



And then I spent a lot of time doing elliptical and stairclimbing. ;)

Whew!

Second attempt at individual coverage for health insurance proved successful. Underwriting did ask the exact same questions re: migraines, too. The really foolish thing is - this second company is the one I originally wanted to elect, but I went with the one that rejected me outright due to it being $40 cheaper a month. This goes to show that one should always go with the gut. I'd rather NOT spend $170 extra a month for this coverage, but $170 is so much more palatable than the federal stopgap coverage, which is $400. Wouldn't you say?

Also, four months in and this is the first time I'm having to dip into my savings. Hopefully that'll light a fire under my butt and help banish the joblessness blues I've got going on. I had a severe pity party yesterday, because reasons I swore not to blather on about here.

While I know that a woman shouldn't have to make any justifications for what or how much she eats, but this commercial makes me laugh because sauce on their faces and, "We got nugged."
